Last week, we took our Iowa Assessments. So we are back to our normal routine this week. Results should be back in mid to late January.
The students should have brought home a new Spelling List for this week. These are words taken from Belle Prater's Boy which is the book that we are studying in Reading.
In Social Studies, we are learning about our Government. We are creating a Lap Book that will contain the different parts/aspects of our United States Government.
In Math - we will be finishing up our chapter on Algebra.
In Science - Mrs. Wiggins is getting the students prepared in writing animal reports.
In Computers, we are going to be starting to learn keyboarding.
In Grammar - we are starting to learn about figurative language. Similes were introduced last week.
In Writing, we finished up our Veteran Day Thank You Letters. We will now work on our Thanksgiving Writing piece.
Please make sure to check over and sign your child's assignment book daily.
Have a great week,
Mrs. Petersen
